Hobbit's Story...
Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Hobbit and I am a Blue Healer (Cattle Dog). Although I am 8 years old, this by no means I am not full of life, I love to play both with people and other dogs :) and I get so excited to meet new people that my ears and tail stand straight up!! I am also a petit 35 pounds so I do not take up much room.

Now on to my sad story, I thought I had a home where I had a big yard, and someone to love me all the time, but then just 3 days after being adopted, my new family got news of a serious illness and returned me to the rescue. Although this saddened me, I did not let it get me down, I am still loved by my foster mommy, but I would still love my forever home with people to play with and love on me.

As you can see from my pictures I am one handsome dog, who definitely loves his creature comforts such as a couch to lay on. I also love treats and am highly motivated by them so I should be pretty easy to train. Please give this “senior” dog a chance to have a home of his very own and get to spend many more years as your faithful companion

Please go directly to our website: www.wetnoserescue.org, fill out the application and submit it if you are interested in adopting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbit, a Philadelphia Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
