Lucas's Story...
This precious tiny boy and his brother, Levi, along with their Mommy dog were dumped in a rural high kill shelter. The trio are now thriving in a foster home. The pups are about 13 weeks old now, and they have had three sets of shots and worming and are ready for their forever homes. Both boys are very sweet. They are both going to the local nursing home on visiting day and everyone loves them. They are trained to use the doggy door as well as pads on rainy days. If you need more info or would like to apply for either or both of thse cuties...please contact lorainecm@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Allentown Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
