Harley's Story...
Oh my goodness! Meet Harley. Hes a 2 year old, 3-1/2 pound long haired chihuahua who's looking for a new home. Harley is up to date with vaccinations, heartworm negative & on monthly prevention. He's not neutered yet, but it is scheduled. Harley is fine with cats and other small dogs, but is afraid of large dogs, so a home with no large dogs is a must. He loves the other chi in his foster home. Also due to his very small size, he can't go to a home with small children. Harley is housebroken too. Harley's favorite thing to do is to snuggle in your lap. Do you have a lap just waiting for this little snug-bug?

Rehome Fee: $125.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
