Sophie's Story...
This is sweet little Sophie, an 8 ½ month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She’s playful but mellow, potty trained and knows some tricks and basic obedience like sit and stay. She’s very lovable and likes to give kisses.
Sophie is good with cats and other dogs. She sleeps well in a soft kennel, but would prefer to sleep on the bed with her humans. Sophie is looking for a home with a fenced yard and a family without really young children.
A $400 adoption donation is required. If you're interested in adopting this dog, please go to CHEW Dog Rescue's website: www.chewdogrescue.org and complete an adoption application (can be found on the "Adoption" page of the website.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Gig Harbor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for sale in Gig Harbor, or seeking a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog from a breeder in Gig Harbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gig Harbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gig Harbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeders who help with Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gig Harbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
