Princess Annie's Story...
Princess Annie is a beautiful 3-year old brown tabby with white feet and gorgeous eyes. She was originally rescued as a kitten, along with her mother and siblings, from living outdoors in West Virginia. Adopted out as a kitten, she was returned to 4Paws as an adult when the home situation changed.

Although shy when she first meets you, she opens up and becomes an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. One of her favorite sleeping spots is on the pillow next to her foster mom’s head at night. She also loves to cuddle and watch TV in the evenings.

Annie needs a home without any other pets or young children. She is terrified of other cats and dogs. But she will blossom as a single cat in a quiet home and become a true cuddle bug.

Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV & Feline Leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess Annie, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
