Starr's Story...
Starr is a young girl, about seven months old. She has all the energy and enthusiasm of a young pup but also will settle down for a snooze quite readily. She's currently living at a vet clinic and has received fully vetting (heartworm test negative, heartworm prevention, spay, all vaccinations, and regular exams by the vet). She would LOVE to be in a home with a back yard to play in and a kitchen floor to snooze on. She plays very well with other dogs and passed a brief cat test with flying colors. She rides well in the car and greets new people warmly. She's a great young dog! If you'd like to meet her, please email info@FORrescue.net. Starr is fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Starr, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
