SONNY's Story...
SONNY is a 1 year old beagle / jack russell terrier mix. He's incredibly affectionate and bonds quickly to his people. He is super cute, quiet and low key. He was part of a bonded pair that got separated, so he is learning confidence and trust now that he is navigating the world alone. He can be submissive and timid at first, and he will need a family that can provide a calm, steady household with lots of encouragement and patience. He is great on a leash, potty trained and crate trained. View other photos of him on our facebook page, like us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SONNY, a Chicago Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
