Oliver's Story...
If you pulled into your driveway, Oliver was there. If you opened your front door, Oliver was waiting. And if you went for a walk, Oliver would meet you on the sidewalk. Everybody in the condo unit knew him - but nobody wanted him. With an ear infection and flea allergies, Oliver was seriously needing a friend. A FOR foster mom opened her home to him and he's now sleeping safely in her bathroom and eating regular meals. He's been to the FOR vet and is now fully vetted (neutered, microchipped, Felv/fiv tested negative, vaccinated and parasite free). His accommodations are temporary so he needs a forever home soon. He's located in Huntsville, AL. If you'd like to meet him, please email info@FORrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
