My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3/25/14 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $200

Fostered in Texas

Age: 9 years

Weight: 4.9 lbs.

10/8/13 - At the end of June, after Lil Bit’s dental on June 28th, his foster mom and dad started to notice that Lil Bit’ left eye was looking grayish in color and was bothering him. She brought him back to the vet a couple times and different drops were tried. After nothing seemed to be helping, foster mom made an appointment at Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic. His first appointment was on 8/12/13. Since this time, Dr. Herrmann with GCAEC prescribed medicine to help keep Lil Bit comfortable while trying to get his dry eye to a minimum. Dr. Herrmann diagnosed Lil Bit with Posterior Uveitis Seems this condition may have possible come about as a result of his dental and progressed.

He had another recheck yesterday, 10/7/13 and he is now only on Cyclosporine 1%. 1 drop in his left eye once per day. He does not need to return for another six months and Dr. Herrmann feels that Lil Bit will be fine on this regimen of Cyclosporine to add the dry eye. The grayish color that formed in his eye has somewhat disappeared, and although Lil Bit cannot see out of his left eye, it has, for the most part, returned to it’s brown color.

With all that being said, Lil Bit, doesn't act like he even knows that he is not perfect. He is fiesty, loves his toys and loves attention.

So the end result is that Lil Bit cannot see out of his left eye and he will have to receive 1 drop of Cyclosporine 1% in it once daily. Now is that too much to ask for such an adorable guy with a personality people on wish they had? I think not. If you agree, send in your application.

6/25/13 - Your pain shows in your eyes. It’s like you aren’t even there. The loneliness is unbearable and your days filled with sadness just won’t go away. Well, no more, I’m here to help. Adopt me and you will never be alone or sad again. I will bring the sparkle back to your eyes. They call me Lil Bit. And just a Lil Bit of me can bring a whole lot of happiness.

My first owners gave me away on facebook. My second owners had me for 9 months before they had to let me go because of human medical issues. So now, here I am, age 9 and looking for my 3rd and forever home. Well 4th if you count my foster home.

I’m a real sweet boy and co-exist fine with other dogs as long as they aren’t too busy and active. I’d also do fine as an only dog. I’m not too clingy, so if you stop short, you don’t have to worry about me being implanted. I’m using the bathroom outside real well for my foster parents, but they have found some places where I’ve marked at night. My bladder is small and I just can’t be expected to hold it for long, long periods. I am doing good though. I don’t bark much, but will talk to you when you come home because I’m excited to see you.

Foster mom loves to watch me play with my toys. This is my one true passion and I’m really good at it. I just LOVE me some squeaky toys and will go find one when you tell me to “get my toy”. I do tire out quickly though due to my age, so when I’m done, I just go to my bed and lay down for a cat nap. I’m not as young as I used to be. Even though I’m not a jumper, if you have those little doggy steps going up to the bed or couch, I will utilize them to come see you. I love all people, so male or female or both will do, just no children since I’m such a small tyke and can get underfoot.

I’m a good listener, so when you come home feeling sad or tired, I’ll be right there to listen, give some kisses or just lie my head on your lap to let you know I understand. If you choose me for your new companion, I will do everything in my power to make your life great. I’ll even buy you one of those water bowls with your name on it to put right by mine.

6/22/13 - BIO COMING SOON!
