Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a super sweet 11 month old girl looking for her forever home. Due to her rough start, Lucy is a bit shy at first but once she gets to know you and trust you, she will be your very best friend. She loves to cuddle and lay in your lap but also loves to play fetch, tug and keep away too. She is fun loving and playful but attentive and loving. She likes to go on walks and an active person that she can run or walk with would be ideal. She also would do great in a home with a fellow canine companion, as she loves to play with other dogs. She is very submissive and retreats into her crate when frightened, so it would be nice to have a family that will continue her crate training, at least in the beginning while she gains confidence in herself and in her new home. Give Lucy a chance, and she will win your heart and be your loyal friend forever. Lucy is being fostered in Birmingham, AL. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
