My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loren is a true gem. Strikingly beautiful with dark seal coloring, a little white face, huge dark eyes, and stand-up ears, this senior lady came into rescue when her previous owner fell on ill health. At 11 years young and 15lbs, Loren is a cuddler. She loves to burrow—if you can't find her, check underneath the nearest blanket, pillow, or dog bed. She also loves her walks and gets very excited when the leash comes out.

Loren adapts well to other Italian Greyhounds but she can be bossy around other breeds. She previously lived with 4 cats and pretty much ignored them. When it comes to crating, it would seem Loren has not spent much time in one and, if you attempt to put her in, she will quickly remind you that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. However, she is well behaved, has had no potty accidents, and is not destructive.

One of Loren's most endearing and unique qualities is what we like to call the "neck nuzzle." She will stand on your lap and place the warm, soft side of her neck directly against your lips and wait for you to kiss her and whisper sweet nothings. She will then turn her head so you can do the same to the other side of her neck. If you attempt to move your mouth away, she will follow you with her neck until she decides she is ready to stop. We guarantee that once you have nuzzled her neck, your heart will be hers!
