Sundari's Story...
This beautiful little tortie kitten is Sundari. Her approximate date of birth is April 2013. She was picked up as a stray with a leg injury and taken to St. Louis County Animal Control who immediately contacted Tenth Life. Our vet discovered that she had a fractured back leg which was splinted and is still in the process of fully healing. The vet advised that the injury was a little old and her leg will probably only get to about 90-95%, but could continue to improve as she grows. She gets around perfectly fine and can climb as well. Her foster mommy will be starting physical therapy soon to help her stiff joints from the splint get back to normal.

Although torties are sometimes known for their “attitudes”, Sundari shows no sign of this whatsoever. She is a very purry and lovey kitten who loves to be cuddled. Her prime choice for a sleeping spot is right next to wherever you are. She seeks out attention right away and loves to make new friends. She has been socialized with and gets along well with other adult cats, kittens, and dogs. She would love to be adopted with a kitten friend or with a home that has a cat resident that is very cat friendly. She will make a WONDERFUL addition to any home. Please consider giving this wonderful little kitten the furever home she deserves!

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
