Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tanner is a mellow fellow! Tanner is a quiet and mellow guy who likes to shadow the volunteers at Safe Place. A volunteer recently took him to a fenced area thinking Tanner would enjoy a good run. Instead, he preferred to stay glued to the volunteer’s side. Tanner was a stray in Blackhawk County and his time was up at Animal Control when we offered to take him in. Two volunteers gave him a bath and pulled 40 ticks from Tanner’s thick coat. Groomer Amy Rambo kindly donated a free "haircut" because Tanner was so matted he needed to be shaved. Poor baby! He is feeling much better now. Tanner is a chow mix—he had a spotted tongue—and possibly Samoyed or Akita. He is a great dog who will make a wonderful addition to some lucky family. He is 50 pounds and 8 years old.
Our adoption fees are on a sliding scale; choose the amount that's right for you. Fees for senior dogs (7 years and older) are on a sliding scale of $90 to $125; fees for dogs 1-6 years are on a sliding scale of $125-$175; fees for dogs under 1 year of age are $150-$200.
If you are 65 years or older, the adoption fee is waived when you adopt a senior dog. All Dogs Forever dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper/parvo, tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and microchipped.
