Kate's Story...
Kate is 5 year-old German Shepherd Dog mix. Sadly, her owner chose to take his own life, and his family was unable to keep her. She is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and in good health.

She has a medium-length coat with GSD markings but much more brown than black. Kate’s brown eyes are gorgeous, and she has a smile that lasts all day. She is crate trained, knows how to use a doggy door and has basic obedience skills.

Kate has a cheerful attitude and is both dog- and child-friendly. Her recent history is very sad, but this beautiful girl will be such a joy for the family who wants to offer her a second chance at happiness.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kate, a Gilbert German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
