Facts about KoKo

  • Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
KoKo is a sweet chocolate AST mix who is sure to warm your heart. He has a dark brown coat with a spotty white patch on his chest. Through no fault of his own, this playful and friendly dog finds himself in need of a new home. His previous family loved him, but a change in their health and living situation made it necessary for them to ask our help in finding KoKo a new home. He needs a home where he will have people to love, plenty of room and a yard where he can play. Like most bigger dogs, he does best when he gets regular exercise. He is good with children as well as adults. He gets along with other dogs. He is a volunteer favorite because he is always up for some fun and love. He is house trained, crate trained, neutered, HW negative, current on shots and has a microchip. He is 5 years old and weighs 66 pounds. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport KoKo if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received and a microchip.

About Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups

About Our Rescue Group...

Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group that rescues animals from kill shelters as well as stray, abandoned, injured, and neglected animals throughout Obion County in NW TN. If any of these dogs is a pet you lost, please contact the rescue. The rescue will not return a dog to you unless you can provide proof of ownership including photos of you with your pet, veterinary records showing you provided state-required rabies vaccinations and other routine care, and you must pay any and all veterinary and boarding expenses incurred by the rescue during the time they cared for your lost pet.

If you are not ready to adopt at this time, please consider fostering a pet, even for just a week. You will be saving a life!

All of our pets would welcome a donation toward their care until they find a forever home. You may donate at www.paypal.com to unicorn47@charter.net or by mailing a check to Diamonds in the Ruff Pound Pups, c/o Sandra Blair, PO Box 62, Union, City, TN 38281. Our Adoption Process...

In general, there is an adoption fee of $200 which helps to cover the cost of basic veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests, spay or neuter and microchip. If a dog has required medical care above and beyond the norm, the adoption fee could be higher. Fees are sometimes lower for certain dogs, so please inquire. If we are unable to arrange for volunteer transport for adoptions outside our area, it may be necessary for us to arrange for paid transport at a cost of approximately $140. Completion of an adoption application as well as a veterinarian reference is required. Our online adoption application can be found at www.adoptapet.com/TnDiamonds-in-the-Ruff/adoption-application/. We also have a paper application which you can obtain by emailing beautifulburns48@gmail.com or call 731-886-9688 or 731-446-4013. Thanks for your interest in adopting a Diamonds Dog!
