Packer-Adoption Pending's Story...
Adoption Pending!

Meet sweet Packer! Packer is approximately 9 to 10 weeks old as of June 29th. Packer is really a sweet, sweet mutt. We think he may have some Lab, but we really aren't sure what else he is mixed with. He is already neutered, and weights 9 pounds as of June 26th.

Packer is very outgoing: loves to greet new people. He is pretty good about coming when he is called given his age except when he thinks he will be going inside. Packer loves to be outside in the yard. His favorite toys are the ones with ropes and strings for him to drag around. Packer, also, seems to be a soccer fan as his favorite ball at the moment is his foster family's soccer ball. Packer loves to explore and does not seem to be frightened by loud noises or summer rain storms. At the moment he enjoys cuddling on his foster mother's lap, Packer is remarkable mellow for a puppy. He goes in his crate at rest time on his own and has been sleeping about 7 hours at night. Packer is a sweet pup…lots of puppy personality.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BREED, AGE, AND SIZE AT MATURITY ARE ONLY GUESSES!

If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available, but might have applications we are processing. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it's in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Emails will slow down the process, and while you are awaiting an email response, we may get applications if we already haven't received any. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but gives you a head start with the adoption approval process. We do not schedule meet and greets until the application is approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. We are all volunteers and work as quickly as possible between jobs and friends, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

The foster home is where you would go to meet this pooch with an approved application. You can find the canine adoption application at our website at www.angelsonwheels.org under the adoptions tab of the website. All of our puppies go through a two week quarantine.

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes: The neutering which is already done, microchip, fecal test including a giardia test which was negative, 1st and 2nd puppy vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, vaccinated for Bordetella as well, dewormed with panacur, treated with either revolution or front-line plus, along with any other medical needs. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Woodridge Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, Naperville Animal Hospital, and a coupon booklet for Petco.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Packer-Adoption Pending, a Naperville Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
