Sage's Story...
Hi! I'm Sage! I'm a male, approximately 6 weeks old. My rescuers are unsure what breed I am, although we suspect my mama is a chihauhua/dachsund mix. I am healthy, sweet and socialized with adults, children, other dogs and cats. My fosters are currently working on helping me adjust to solid food and water. My adoption fee will include UTD vaccinations, puppy obedience class and neutering. Adoption fee is $275 and applications are available at www.softplacetoland.org. I am available for adoption around July 15!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Ft. Collins Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Ft. Collins, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Ft. Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
