My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I love you, you love me, won't you make me a part of your family? I have a great big hug for you, so won't you say you will take me too?

Hello, my name is Barney and I am an honorary Boston Terrier. I was at a kill shelter and was such a dear, Boston Terrier Rescue of SC saved me. We aren't quite sure what mixture is in my genetics, but I am a good boy. I am neutered, approximately 2-3 years old, weigh about 35 lb., I am heart worm negative, up to date on vaccines and have no health issues.

Here's what my foster mom says about me:
'Hey, here I am. My name is Barney, What do you want to do?!!'He plays chase with all the dogs every morning & runs them crazy. Even old Starr tries to catch him. When they tire of that he & Charlie play tug-of-war. When Charlie tires of that, Barney finds a ball & starts dropping it around. He's young & loves to play. He doesn't want to be outside or inside by himself. He desires companionship be it human or another animal. He got through the gate one morning into the goat field & ran up to the cat. She arched her back, hissed at him & he ran back out. So don't think he would hurt a cat. But he's still young. He sleeps in a crate at night but has Charlie in a crate next to him & Fashions in another crate. Companionship. During the day he will jump on the bed & stretch out if someone is in the bedroom. Otherwise he's not interested. He'll lay under the coffee table if we're in the Greatroom or beside me if I'm on the computer. He's the perfect dog for kids or an active person. He's house trained, walks on a leash but if something attracts his attention he will pull in that direction. I think he can be easily trained because I can back him up into a sit.

If you are interested in adopting me, please contact my foster mom, Gloria at 706-541-2052. To adopt me, go to bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. My adoption fee is $175.00.
