Summer is a one year old black lab mix, super gentle and loves to play ball. She hails from Chino Valley shelter and is completely vetted. Summer was an owner surrender. She is a typical 1 year old lab and she needs structure and someone who will continue to train her through her puppydom. She is a great with kids and cats. She needs to be crate trained. She has some separation anxiety but nothing that is too unusual for a one year old lab.

She would do great with a family that has another dog or two for her to play with.

She is working on basic obedience like Walking and basic commands.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer (Courtesy), a Scottsdale Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
