Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
Riley is an active little lad with beautiful rare coloring and icy blue eyes. He was picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter where he resided for over a month until we took him in. He’s in a wonderful foster home now but it is a slow process to get him to relax and get used to living with humans. He is a little reserved at first, when approached by new people, but once he warms up to you he is quite the lover. He knows his name and will come when called – as long as there is nothing better to do – typical of Huskies.
Due to his young age, Riley is full of Husky puppy energy. Although, as yet, small in stature for a male, there is nothing little about his exuberance and affection. He loves to run, play and wrestle with his foster sister and seems to get along with dogs of all sizes. He appears to be cat friendly as he showed little interest when he was introduced to them at the shelter, but caution should still be used.
Riley is a jumper when excited, but takes correction well. He probably would do better in a home without small children because in his puppy friskiness he may bump into them and knock them over.
Aside from playing, Riley's other favorite things to do are to chew on bones and demolish plush toys. Anything interesting on the counter? If so, this counter-surfing boy will find it, although this is easily correctable with training.
Riley is working hard on his house manners but he really needs a permanent home he can call his own to help him develop into a well rounded family member.
Riley is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on shots, Heartworm negative, and microchipped. His rare coloring will make him the talk of the neighborhood so why not take the opportunity to make your neighbors jealous and give Riley a loving, forever home? He’ll make you happy and your neighbors jealous. Fill out an adoption application at the upper left corner of our web site, WWW.SIBERRESCUE.COM, today.
