Little Harley's Story...
Harley - measured him at 9 inches at the front shoulder. He weighs about 7 pounds. Harley is an active little fellow, liking to be on the move. He does settle nicely when you do, liking to sit on your lap like a proud little man. He is more adventurous and outgoing, but does take some time to warm up to people before "claiming" them as a good spot to sit on. Harley appears to be leash trained, needs a bit of practice with it though. He is a good eater, liking to finish both bowls of food if allowed:) Harley seems to have separation issues when in the house / yard with him, but is OK in the kennel at night and during the day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Harley, a Saskatoon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
