My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there my name is Stanley, I am a Golden Retriever & Labrador Retriever mix approximately 2 years old. They tell me I look really good but need to gain some weight. I am a really good boy who gets along with people, dogs, and cats. My favorite past time is fetching, you keep throwing I will always go get it and bring it back. I was found wandering in Southern Illinois and put into an outside pound to wait for my owner to come find me, but they never came looking. I am so lucky that Safely Home Canine Rescue came to save me, they took me to the vet and during my vet check they found out I have heartworm, I will be starting treatment and will be better soon so I can find my forever home. I am a loveable dog who just needs some TLC!!! Thank you for getting to know me a little better, hope to meet you soon.
