My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is a beautiful, purebred Plott hound who showed up as a stray at a rural east TN home. Around this area plotts are used for bear dogs. If they don't hunt, they are often shot, turned lose in the wild or relinquished to kill shelters. Honey personally told the good Samaritans who took her in that she has dreamed of being a house hound all her life. Honey sleeps quietly in a crate. She is an energetic girl, true to her breed and needs daily exercise. Once her activity requirements have been satisfied, she is all hound and loves nothing more then to lay at your feet in a hound ball. She would be best in a home with an active adult or couple with no children. Plotts are loyal and protective. Honey gets along with the family dog, but her foster dad thinks a one dog home might be best. NO CATS. Remember, Honey is a hunting dog and has those traits born into her. A run-free safe environment is a must for this sweet and deserving girl.

Honey is 3-5 yrs. of age. She is spayed, UTD on shots, HW negative and on preventative. She weighs aprx. 60 pounds.

Honey is in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported north upon adoption. An adoption fee will apply in addition to the transport fee via Alpha Dog Transport. They charge $125 which is paid to them when you claim your pup at one of their scheduled stops. All vet/shot records will be handed off with your pup too.

No apartment renters. Honey is a country girl and will do best in a country environment.
