Cooper is such a sweetie. He is charcoal and has a white patch under his chin. He is 5 1/2 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Cooper is a puppy mill survivor and is just beginning to know how good life can really be. He is timid and will need a family that can be patient with him as he learns to trust. Those big brown eyes are so full of happiness now. Cooper would do best in a home with another small dog. He doesn't mind the cats in his foster home either. He will need to be taken out on a leash or have a secure fenced yard. Cooper has been neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He has also had a dental cleaning. Cooper walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. If you would like to give Cooper the forever home he deserves, please click

Note: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation. Please remember that the adoption fee is not for purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.
