MEET ROO. Adorable, well loved dachshund/chihuahua mix, weighing in at eight pounds 1 ounce. Her color pattern is similar to a jersey cow. She’s black and white. Her coat is smooth and short. Her family is moving overseas and sadly must give up this favorite little girl. The same as any Dachshund; she can be stubborn, and likes to dig, She barks when the door bell rings or if she hears another dog barking. Roo loves to sleep with her human! She is very affectionate. Roo is a very good girl and is always happy. Roo doesn’t mind being picked up and carried. She has a sweet personality and loves to be loved. She loves to nap and is definitely a lap dog as well. She gives lots of love and kisses to everyone. She has many toys to play with and is used to a large fenced yard. Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $350, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves?
