My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are Kenny and Toby (brothers), approximately two years old, neutered, Chihuahua mix, Kenny weighs 7.4 and Toby weighs 7.5, crate/house trained and ready for a loving home! The MOST important thing about us is that we MUST be adopted together, as we are VERY bonded. Our favorite things to do are: cuddling in your lap or beside you for as long as you let us, chewing on treats, sunning together outside when it’s warm, playing together or with you while running figure 8’s in the yard. We are very entertaining and already know these phrases: “ Let’s go outside”… “Lay down”… “Stay”… “Want a treat” …“Time to eat”… “Time for bed”… “Come here” …“No” …”Good doggie” (love this one!) and we are so eager to please and be loved!
Kenny, the taller one, is little “lover boy” because once he is comfortable with you, he will be your best friend! Toby is more timid and takes longer to warm up. Once Toby does, he will sit with you LONGER than Kenny will. They are truly the definition of a “Lap” dog. They love to do everything together; eating at the same time, drinking water, going to the bathroom at the same time, it’s quite unbelievable to watch. They will curl up beside each other when napping if NOT sitting with their owner. They will bark initially when they are frightened and unsure of a new person. It took one week before they were totally calm and not afraid to be around the entire family. Kenny will bond quickly and Toby will take several days to feel comfortable. If you go away for several hours, they are fine because they have each other. When you come home, they will give lots of love and kisses freely!
Another must, they need a fenced in area. If they are not fenced in, they will flee! They are very adaptable to your schedule. We have a Malti-Poo and Teddy Bear breed, both small females and they all get along fantastic.

Toby is a courtesy posting and is not offered for adoption by You Lucky Dog Rescue. YLDR explicity disclaims any liability for any situation arising from the private adoption of this individual animal.
