Oscar's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY POST!

Oscar was rescued from Brooklyn, NY, from a situation where he is being kept in a crate 23 hours per day. He is a very special boy looking for a very special, and understanding, home. Oscar is a sweet boy, but it does take him a while to warm up to strangers, so newcomers must approach him with caution…of course this stems from his former life of being locked up constantly. Once he realizes he can trust you, he is a happy and playful boy, who loves to take walks, and especially loves going for rides in the car! Oscar does well, with MOST dogs, but does seem to prefer small dogs, as the big guys seem to intimidate him. He does not like cats, and needs to go to a home with NO CHILDREN! Do you have room in your heart for this stunning boy??

VITAL STATISTICS:
Age: 5 years old
He is neutered and UTD on all shots. Housetrained.
Must be cautious when introducing him to new dogs and people.
NOT okay with kids.
Must go to a home with NO CHILDREN.
Adoption fee: $275.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Franklinville Dachshund/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Dachshund for sale in Franklinville, or seeking a Dachshund/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Franklinville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklinville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklinville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklinville paves the way for another one to be saved.
