My story

Introducing Wrigley - Wrigley is a wonderful 7 year old basset who is looking for a family that will not desert him. Wrigley came into Rescue after he was abandoned in a parking lot at a local hiking trail. If it were not for the compassion of a couple hikers, things might have ended horribly. The hikers witnessed Wrigley being pushed out of the car and saw him run around the car trying to get back in, but the car drove away without him. The hikers took him home with them, but were not able to keep him, so they contacted the Rescue.

Wrigley is a big boy, who loves his human and will sit right next to you on the couch from sun up to sun down. He will gently paw you on the leg if he wants your attention. He follows his foster mom around the house just waiting for a belly rub. Oh, did I forget to mention that Wrigley loves, absolutely loves belly rubs? He flops over on his back if he even remotely suspects that you might give him a belly rub.


Wrigley is a very mellow quiet guy who only makes a fuss when the food bowl is empty or if he thinks you should be paying attention to him. He likes to be taken on walks and rides well in the car, potty trained with a doggie door and gets along great with everyone. Not sure about children or cats.

Do not let the graying around the eyes fool you, Wrigley's got a lot of belly rubs left in him. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, received a dental and is ready for her perfect forever home.
