Gentle ELLIE luvs kids & dogs's Story...
ELLIE is an adorable, middle aged, purebred Jack Russell recently surrendered to our local volunteer due to changes in her home. She is kid and dog friendly and a very easygoing girl! She would love a companion who is home a significant amount of the time, and a fenced yard to play in! We think she would be a great friend for a retired person as she is small enough to be easy on the leash, and most importantly she is grandkid friendly... plus good with any other family dogs. Ellie does want to chase cats so should not share a home with a kittycat!

Ellie is spayed, healthy and up to date on her shots. She weighs 14lbs. Message us to meet her today! We will adopt her to Maine, New Hampshire and Mass. Meet this great family dog today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gentle ELLIE luvs kids & dogs, a Durham Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Durham, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
