Sammy's Story...
Sammy was a neglected little guy that neighbors would put food out for. One neighbor took pity on him when he became very matted and gave him a nice haircut for the summer. He is a quiet boy, we have never heard him whine or bark at all. Not an alpha but does get along great with the other dogs in h[s foster home. He can be a little timid at first but loves to be held and loved on. He has the sweetest temperament as you can get. Sammy is going to make someone a fantastic pet. If you want a little lap dog, Sammy says he will be your man! If you don't want a lot of brushing to do, you can alway keep him in the puppy clip. It is difficult to see in the photos but he is a cream and white boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Tucson Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
