Bugsy's Story...
Bugsy is a sweet and gentle shepherd/husky mix. He is well on his way to being house trained and is used to sleeping in the crate at night and when his foster mom is not home. He loves to play with other dogs and is very fond of toys, chew bones, and his cushy bed. Bugsy gets along with cats too. He hopes to be an inside dog because he wants to be with his furless family. His foster family marvels at how gentle he is with their much smaller dog. They rough and tumble play, but Bugsy has never been rough or aggressive. He is very bright and expressive. Bugsy truly is a gem and will be a wonderful addition to a loving family ready for a sweet and loyal companion. If you are interested in Bugsy please email him at bugsy@sparkyrescue.com or call 270-684-4787.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugsy, a Owensboro Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky for sale in Owensboro, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky puppy from a breeder in Owensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
