Nemo's Story...
Hi there! My name's Nemo, what's yours? I'm about 3 years old and they're guessing I'm a Maltese yorkie mix. I have had several homes during my short little life, and would really like for the next one to be my forever home! I was brought into the shelter because my previous owner could no longer care for me. I'm a happy go lucky boy and have a great personality. As you may be able to tell from my pictures I only have 3 working legs. My fourth leg has most likely been deformed since I was born. I don't let that slow me down too much tho! I love to run around and play, but also love curling up on someone's lap and falling asleep! I'm house trained, and crate trained. Now all I need is someone to love me and give me a home! Do you think you might have room in your house and heart for a little fella like me? I am currently living in a foster home, so arrangements have to be made to meet me.

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nemo, a Youngwood Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
