My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 1-year-old female German Shepherd/Doberman mix. I weigh about 61 pounds. I was found as a stray and brought to a local high-kill shelter at 2 months of age. It was immediately obvious that something was wrong with my leg. The staff vet discovered that I had been bitten by a larger dog and my leg was broken. Due to my injury, my time at the pound was quickly running out. Lucky for me, CageFree rescued me and rushed me off to an orthopedic surgeon where they repaired my leg. A staff member at the surgeon's office expressed interest in adopting me. So, not long after my surgery, I was headed off to my new home. I spent about a year there with my family. It was me, my human parents, my human brothers and sisters, and a bunch of canine friends. Then, one day, I was told that my parents were getting a divorce. Sadly, and for no fault of my own, I was not able to live with either of my parents and I was returned to CageFree. I was heartbroken. I've been here for a few days now and I'm settling in well, though. I miss my family terribly, but I've been told that my friends are working really hard to find me a new, forever family. In case you are wondering, my leg has completely healed. I've made a full recovery and you'd never know I was ever injured to begin with. Despite my ordeal with the mean dog that bit me when I was just a baby, I still really love dogs! I'm always eager to make new friends, canines and humans alike! I'm a super friendly, very sweet, loving pup. Trust me when I say that I would make a great companion for you and your family. I've got the best temperament! I also happen to be super good looking, too! Oh, did I mention that I am house-broken? Just another reason why you should consider welcoming me into your home. Now that I have told you all about me, if you think that you would be interested in meeting me, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and let them know you wanted to schedule an appointment! Hurry...I can't wait to start my new life.
