Jax's Story...
Meet Jax. He's a chihuahua mix around 3 years old and weighs around 10 pounds. Jax is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Jax does not do well with small children but LOVES adults. Jax is a friendly and playful boy who loves all dogs and cats, although he does chase cats but only because he wants to play. He jumps with joy whenever people pay attention to him. He loves to give kisses but also loves to cuddle up in your lap. He loves going with you for car rides as you run errands. He is crate trained, leash trained and housebroken. This sweet and cuddly boy would love a home with a yard too because he loves to run around and play, but he's an inside boy who also loves to chill on your lap. He'd love to be your new best friend.

Rehome Fee: $100.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
