My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Jimmy and I am one of the recent foster dogs of the Arizona Basset Hound Rescue. I was a stray dog in Yuma before the Rescue and hitched a ride to Phoenix where I reside with my foster mom and four-legged foster siblings. The vets estimate that I am about a year old and am still very much a puppy. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Don't let the "P" word scare you, I am doggie door trained, with not a single accident in the house. I only chew on dog toys and understand the word sit and am working on stay, but just too wiggly right now. I love to snuggle with my foster mom and get kisses. I get along great with my foster siblings, but don’t know much about cats. I am very laid back and not much bothers me so I will fit in with just about any family. I do like to play, so the more active the better.

I ride okay in the car, but prefer the front seat to back, but will stay on my side. I walk well on a leash, but could use some additional practice so I don't pull. I can be vocal when excited and have a very deep bark. It's so deep that my foster mom looked around the first time I barked wondering where the bark came from.

With all that being said, I am hoping that taking the risk to come to Phoenix pays off quickly and I find my perfect home. So, if you got any questions, don't hesitate to email my foster mom, she lives to help me find my forever home.
