Squiggles's Story...
Squiggles is a 5 month-old German Shepherd Dog mix we recently saved from the euthanasia list. We’re not quite sure what her mix of breeds is, but it’s resulted in an amazing short brindle coat with white patches on her chest, snout and toes.

Squiggles has been spending time in foster, where she has proved that she gets along well with cats and both bigger and smaller dogs. She has also been working on her obedience training (she fetches like a champ and is getting better at sit) and her potty training (she is nearly accident-free).

Squiggles is a fun-loving little girl who can be very dramatic in her play, even dropping and rolling for no particular reason. But for all her playfulness, her favorite place will always be your lap. She absolutely LOVES a good snuggle, even more than her squeaky toys. This puppy is a winner!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squiggles, a Gilbert German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
