Charlie's Story...
Charlie is a 19 month old rough coat male Saint Bernard that is a very mellow and calm pup that just goes along for the ride, so to speak. Charlie loves belly rubs and playing in the water. He gets along well with other dogs, but would prefer a home without cats. He has entropion in one eye that will require surgical correction (that we will provide through our vet in Anaheim, CA), but would prefer that he recover from surgery in his new home if possible (follow-up appointments will be in Anaheim). Charlie is current on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. If interested in adopting Charlie, please fill out and submit an on-line adoption application from our web site at http://www.sunnysaints.org/adoption-application.html and you will be contacted shortly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
