Here's what the humans have to say about me:
6-28-13: our wonderful vets at Springfield Veterinary Center were just not happy with giving up on Diesel so they contacted some specialists and more tests were run. It was determined that although his cancer was malignant it was restricted to just the eye. We have removed the cancerous eye and Diesel is healing nicely. Although his foster family committed to loving him for his remaining time, now knowing he will have many more years to make someone happy they have agreed to let him be adopted. so, Diesel is now available! This little boy hasn't lost any spunk from his eye removal and is still just as loving. Look for updated pictures soon!
6-11-13 update: Diesel has been moved to a "forever foster" position as a biopsy of the tumor in his eye revealed it is malignant. His foster family will love him for whatever time he has left and make this time his best.
Diesel just arrived after his owner went to a nursing home and he was left at a vet clinic by family. We are guessing him to be around 8-9 yrs old but doen't let that fool you. This boy likes to run and is a fetching machine. He has seen our vet and is scheduled to have his teeth cleaned. During the exam, a tumor was discovered on his eye and a biopsy will be done during his teeth cleaning. Depending on the results of the biopsy, he might or might not loose the eye. He is settling in nicely in hsi foster home and playing well with his foster sibling. As we learn more about him we will update his page.
