My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, there. Rocky here. The place I previously lived was busted for cruelty and hoarding. I lost several of my friends to malnutrition and neglect, but I made it out alive! Now I'm here and have been told many times that life is about to get really good.

I arrived looking pretty good (for our situation). I had a growth on my chest and, like all the other dogs, my teeth were in rough shape. But it didn’t take long until they realized that I was losing weight – rapidly. I was a sick boy.

The growth turned out to be just a fatty tumor, which we had removed. I also received a dental. (Doc said my teeth were ground down from chewing on the crate after we were abandoned in our last location.) They treated me for parasites and gave me these yummy satin balls to gain weight. I have improved significantly and am feeling really good now. I could use another pound or two, but Mama Donna says I am ready for happiness.

I am probably around 5 years old; it's hard to know for certain. I'm incredibly smart and learn quickly. As you can see from my photos, I can even do some agility and would make a great running companion. I can be a little food aggressive, though, so I would be best as an only dog or in a home where someone understands this and knows how to handle it.
