Sweet Baylee needs a home with a new forever family. She is a 2/12 year old small black lab. She weighs 44 pounds and is in excellent health, is micro-chipped, and up-to-date on her shots (vet visit this month). She is smart, loving, and a bundle of happy energy! She is blind in her right eye, but that does not slow her down at all! She loves to play fetch, race around her yard, and cuddle with her people. She is wonderful with the two children in her family. She is mostly an inside dog, but she enjoys having a large yard to explore and run in.
Due to changes in her family’s schedule, Baylee now has to be in a crate for a good portion of each day. She thrived when someone was home with her every day, able to take her on walks and play with her. However, she has a lot of energy and her family has decided she needs a new home where someone can be with her each day to give her the time and attention she deserves.
Baylee is a very smart girl. She knows basic commands—sit, stay, come, go to kennel, etc. and will tell you when she needs to go out to use the bathroom. However, she is not fond of cats and has recently taken to aggressively barking at other dogs on her walks. She would thrive with additional obedience training and is an excellent candidate for agility training (she is FAST!) She would do best with a family that has the time and patience to work with her to learn more commands and bring out her best.
We hope to find a home for Baylee that has at least one person home each day. She definitely needs a good-sized, fenced yard to play in. She has never tried to escape and stays close to her family, but she loves to run! She will be a wonderful additional to an active family willing to give her the time and attention she deserves.
