Jack's Story...
I'm Jack, a wonderful middle-aged dog that is just about perfect!! (IF I do say so myself:)) I think they said I was part Rat Terrier, but I also look like a Sheltie or a Border Collie too. I am housebroken. I sleep on the people bed all night and I am good as gold. I get along with the other pups here. I stand up for myself but never start any nonsense!! I love to race and race in the big fenced yard. I do also walk on a leash. I am a good good eater too. I am up to date on my booster shots. I am heart worm negative and on prevention. If you are looking for a wonderful companion, I am your man!! I am friendly and happy and healthy. It doesn't get much better than that!! If you are interested in adopting, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Homer Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Rat Terrier for sale in Homer, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
