My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tonto is a beautiful Mini Rex who was surrendered back to New Moon Rabbit Rescue on 13 July 2013. He was born in June of 2009 and originally came to us in June 2012 as an owner surrender. He was adopted in October 2012 but was surrendered again due to “territorial behaviors” in his forever home. This poor little man is definitely feeling unloved and we are hoping to get him settled into a permanent home soon so he can heal his little heart and enjoy life as he should.

Nothing has change about the little man since we first met him last year. Tonto has once again shown himself to be a lovely and charming little man. His is very affectionate and always seems starved for attention. He was returned to us at an Adoption Event and spent the rest of the weekend on the table soaking up all the attention, pets, kisses and praise while taking some time to redecorate and arrange our pamphlets and displays!

Tonto likes being treated like the royal king that he is. He, like many bunnies, feels that things must be done HIS way but we have never seen true signs of aggression. He does have a tendency to want to protect “his things” as many rabbits do and would do best in a home that understands and respects his needs. Free range of a home would be best for him as a cage or confined area may only exacerbate his need to guard his territory and belongings.

He has shown some interest in other bunnies and may be interested in having a bunny friend.

Tonto is looking and waiting for his FOREVER forever home. He is available for adoption!
