Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there. I’m Venus, a gorgeous tortie. I came to AWLMC because my previous owner was unable to care for me due to financial issues. She also felt I was not getting as much attention as I deserved. My thick, dark and luxurious coat complements my captivating green eyes. I proudly display the usual “tortitude” traits of being smart, sassy, loyal and mercurial. My favorite spot is wherever you are – whether working on your computer (I’m a great paper weight!), eavesdropping on your conversations (I’m a bit nosy), or settling in for the night snuggled next to you (that sound you hear is me purring like a race car). I am quite the social butterfly and will run to the door to warmly greet guests, always the gracious hostess. Should I present my belly, it is for a quick rub. Like most girls, I enjoy being pampered by a good chin and head massage. Did you know that the Celts believed a Tortie in the house brought good luck, or that Edgar Allen Poe was devoted to his tortie Catrina, who often sat on his shoulder as he wrote??? If you are looking for a loving and loyal feline companion who will make you blissfully happy, bring you good luck and keep you laughing, look no further. To complete the deal, I would prefer not to share you with another feline, although a well-behaved dog is okay, and I would love a sunny window perch from which I can keep an eye on the neighborhood for us. I was born in 2007.
