Iva's Story...
Iva is 1 year old (11/2013) and is still working on leash-training, though she is almost completely house-trained. She listens well and is eager to learn. She gets along well and loves playing chase with other dogs. Iva would do very well in a home with children, as she is very submissive. Her foster parents have nicknamed her "hula girl" because she enthusiastically wags her tail, causing her hips to constantly sway like a hula dancer!

Iva's adoption fee is $125. If you, or someone you know, are interested in meeting or adopting this sweet hula girl, please contact Stepfanie at purplegorilla21@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iva, a Porter American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Porter, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Porter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Porter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Porter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Porter paves the way for another one to be saved.
