My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is an 8 year old Maltese/Poodle blend that loves to snuggle with her foster mommy. This girl just can't get enough, she loves to be rubbed and petted every minute of everyday.

Maggie became a member of HCW when her previous owners took her to our local vet for skin issues. They were not financially able to meet Maggie's needs so they chose to have her euthanized. Our vet contacted us to help because who could say no to that face.

An allergy test revealed that most of her skin trouble could be controlled by her diet because she is allergic to chicken. So now she is on a dog food with little to no chicken and Maggie has never looked or felt so good in her life.

It has shown apparent that Maggie has suffered from some sort of abuse before she arrived at HCW. She will need someone that is patient and understanding until she's comfortable.

Maggie isn't very active and would just LOVE the opportunity to sleep in bed with you and let you make her happy. Maggie gets so excited and loves to do the "MAGGIE DANCE" for a treat. This girl will literally have a smile on her face and put one on yours.
