Nicholas's Story...
My name is Nicholas, or Nick for short. My foster mom says I am a sweet boy. I was turned in to the local shelter because my previous owner had too many dogs. I have lived with dogs and cats. I am actually a quiet boy and have not even barked in my foster home. I am crate trained and did use the doggie door in my old house. I am still getting comfortable in my new foster home, so I haven't been too playful. Please call to meet me and see how handsome and sweet I am. For more information please call 480-528-3840

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicholas, a Scottsdale Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
