Toto's Story...
Sweet little Toto was pulled from a shelter in Southeastern KY. Poor Toto was given up once her family divorced. Toto appears to be a yorkie mix of some sort, possibly cairn terrier or chihuahua. Whatever her mix is, she is absolutely adorable! She is approximately 2 years old and weighs about8lbs. She is very well-mannered and doesn't bark or jump on you. She is a little lapdog and just wants to be with her person. She gets along great with other dogs and cats and we think she would do great with children due to her laid-back attitude. Toto will be spayed, fully vaccinated, heart worm tested, given a fecal exam (dewormer and albon if needed), microchipped, and given flea preventative prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toto, a Hazard Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
