Lulu is an adorable 4yr old, 45 lb Amer Bull Dog/Dogo Mix who found herself homeless when her family lost their house in Staten Island. There seemed no hope for a place her and her brother Bo to go until a wonderful foster family took them in to help find them a permanent home. Lulu & Bo were traumatized at first to have lost their family, but they have come such a long way and are beginning to realize that life will go on for them. They are currently being fostered in a home with 4 other dogs, and it’s a lot for one couple. So, while they are receiving excellent care, they really need a FAMILY to be part of. Lulu gets along well with her foster siblings. She get 3 walks per day, and would be fine left alone during the work day. A backyard where she could run and play would be a big plus.
Some background information on LuLu: While doing some volunteer work at a FL shelter Lulu's former owner found her cowering in the corner of her cage and immediately fell in love, so she adopted her and took her home to NYC. Her previous owner learned that Lulu was saved from a house fire prior to entering the shelter. Lulu is the biggest mush and once she gets to know you she will be your best friend for life. She likes to snuggle under the covers with you, run around in the yard and play with her toys. Lulu is a very quiet girl and does not bark a lot. Her foster family says that she loves to eat dry food mixed with plain chicken, although we're sure she wouldn't be opposed to eating any high quality type of dog food. This sweet girl has no known health issues and absolutely loves all people and kids. Lulu is utd on shots, spayed and microchipped.
