Went missing in the NW area of Homestead. Have you seen her? We miss her!
8/2/13 - Mama Bella is now in an inside foster home. Crate trained, spayed, and good with other dogs. She is relieved to be finished with her mothering duties. She likes kids and enjoys just sitting around while her people are nearby. Walks well on leash and likes to play with soft stuffed doggie toys. Very gentle and easy going. 07/06/13 Mama Bellissima was found in Florida City with her 7 puppies. They were living under a shed. She is a sweet and protective mom dog. Only took a day to win her trust and she is learning to play with toys and be friends with children. She is quiet in the pen with her pups and will be a wonderful companion and lap dog to a lucky person. We will let the pups nurse another week and then pups will be placed in a separate foster home. Bellissima will be spayed shortly thereafter and ready for adoption.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. Email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application. Complete Adoption Application and return to us by email or fax to 305-247-9127
2. Meet with the dog or cat and bring treats
3. Complete Adoption Contract
4. Adoption Donation $200 for puppies under 6 months and $150 for dogs over 6 months Adoption donation for dogs includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.
5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs are in boarding and in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers. It is worth the drive South from Miami or North from the Keys to find your canine companion. This Is The Dog! for you!
