My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With soulful eyes and serious expression, Alexander the Great has conquered many hearts at Tree House, but his greatest compaign, the quest for a loving home will be his most treasured triumpt. Alexander the Great has only recently been admitted after spending his entire life stray. He was thankful for small blessings however, affectionalty and dutifully greeting the kind person who cared for him daily much the way he approaches our staff/volunteers who now provide for him. Alexander the Great is very cordial to the other cats, usually politley waiting his turn to sit in laps. Though a true gentelman like his namesake, he is known to partake in adventures and rarely shows mercy in the tournament of cat versus toy mouse. Alexander the Great was born in 2000 and has tested positive for FIV*

*Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a weakening of the immune system in cats. It's often compared to human HIV, but FIV is not transferable to humans or other species. It is also difficult to transfer to other sterilized cats, and we believe that mixed FIV and non-FIV households can work if managed properly. If kept indoors in a stress-free environment, with regular medical care and high-quality nutrition, most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. Tree House staff can help answer your questions to see if an FIV+ cat is the right choice for you. FIV+ cats adopted from Tree House are eligible for a lifetime veterinary-care plan that includes a free annual exam and discounted treatments.
